what was the assembly line?
The Ford Assembly Line was a line of workers, as well as equipment, that put together the cars piece by piece over a period of many days. Instead of having each worker building a car on their own, each worker has their own job that they do on different cars each day.
This is what Ford was known for.
how did it work?
Each worker had their own specific job on a moving assembly line. The workers stayed in one place and the vehicle parts came to them. The part they installed was there at the station where they worked. This way, each worker only had to be trained to do one thing. This was much quicker and easier than having to build a whole car by themselves.
